
Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Rural and Underserved populations. She is a graduate of Regis University in Denver, CO for her Masters in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with her BSN from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and has been a nurse for over 10 years. She has worked in several clinical settings including: Primary Care, Oncology, Urology, OB/GYN, GYN/Oncology, Pediatrics, Foster Care, Adolescent HIV Clinic, and Rural/International Medical missions. She is passionate about working with rural, underserved and international communities. She has most recently served as the Assistant Nurse Manager for 3 primary care clinics and infusion clinic at the Denver VA Medical Center. At the VA, she was responsible for day to day clinic management, nursing education, and move transition and coordination for the new Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center.
Candace is an avid traveler and relief worker. Her volunteer service/relief work experience has taken her to Haiti, Guyana, Moore, Ok, and New Orleans, LA (during hurricane Katrina), and recently Huancayo, Peru. Her Language skills include: Conversational; Spanish, French, and Haitian Creole.
She is Married with two children and three dogs. She and her family have lived in Thornton, CO since 2013.
