The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) is an outreach arm of ICH that extends our mission beyond our walls to the community we serve. Our team partners with local groups at community events to provide a front line resource for healthcare prevention and education. Jeri Ajayi has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with several years of experience in public outreach, health education, and health promotion. As a community activist, Jeri’s roots run deep in promoting equity for all persons, regardless of their appearance, where they come from, or who they love. She is encouraged by public health’s comprehensive approach to addressing the needs of individuals, families, and the communities in which we live.
Read MorePorsia has been a team member with Inner City Health (ICH) since February 16, 1997! Her first role was Billing Specialist, she was eventually promoted to Billing Manager, and she was later promoted to Medical Support Manager. Porsia is now serving the role of Assistant Director of the Office of Community Engagement as a Community Health Ambassador; she has been in this role since August 1, 2022. During this time, Porsia has been attending and achieving training and continues to share her love for people and go above and beyond for those outside the wall within our communities. Through her extensive training, Porsia has earned the following certificates: "The Issachar Center for Urban Leadership two-year Project" 2021-2022, "Patient Navigator Training Collaborative" April 14, 2023 - June 23, 2023, and "Patient Navigation & Community Health Worker Training" September 26, 2023 - November 10, 2023.
